PROF MATHEW KWAME TSAMENYI
President
Mathew Tsamenyi is a Professor of Management Practice in Accounting at China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) and the Executive Director of CEIBS Africa. Previously, he was a Professor of Accounting at Birmingham Business School, University of Birmingham, and has also taught at the University of Sheffield and City University of Hong Kong.
He is the Founding President of the African Accounting and Finance Association (AAFA), Chair of BAFA’s special interest group on emerging economies, and the founding editor of the Journal of Accounting in Emerging Economies. Prof. Tsamenyi is also a co-author of “Handbook of Accounting and Development” (2012).
Prof. Tsamenyi graduated from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, with a Diploma in Education and a Bachelor of Commerce in 1991. He completed a master’s degree in Accountancy at the University of Wollongong, Australia, in 1993, and holds a PhD in Accounting from the University of Wolverhampton in collaboration with the University of Manchester, UK. He is also a fully qualified Certified Management Accountant (CIMA).
Mathew has extensive research and consulting experience in financial analysis and performance management, having consulted for organizations like the African Development Bank, Ashanti Goldfields Corporation, UNCTAD, NUFFIC, and the Central Bank of Rwanda.

He has extensive experience across industries like mining, oil and gas, construction, real estate, transport, financial services, and hospitality & tourism, having worked with companies like AngloGold Ashanti and Newmont Mining Corporation.
Currently, Prince is the CEO of SUCCA Africa Ltd. He is an alumnus of KNUST-Ghana, the University of Twente, and the University of Cambridge. Majorie Quansah
Programmers Officer
Majorie is the Corporate Social Responsibility Coordinator in the Partnerships, Sustainability, and Corporate Social Responsibility Department of Fidelity Bank Ghana Limited. She is a trained Project Management Professional (PMP) with over 15 years of working experience.
She played a major role in establishing Fidelity Bank’s new Partnerships, Sustainability, and CSR Department in 2022. As a CSR Coordinator, she is results-driven and has successfully created and implemented the Bank’s CSR strategy and initiatives, including the establishment and administration of the Bank’s Employee Volunteering Program, which encourages staff involvement in social impact projects.
Majorie oversees the Bank’s Orange Impact Initiative, which aims to provide 15 underprivileged schools with tailored resources and infrastructure support in line with the Sustainability strategy. This initiative includes the integration of environmentally friendly technologies, energy-efficient practices, and community engagement to create a model for eco-conscious school infrastructure.
She also manages the execution of climate change programs to raise awareness and address environmental challenges, as well as economic empowerment initiatives for vulnerable groups, particularly women, youth, and persons with disabilities. Majorie is adept at integrating sustainability practices into organizational frameworks, driving positive change, and achieving measurable outcomes. In 2022, she led the development of the Bank’s 5-year gender action plan to leverage focus on women as employees and customers, contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals and creating sustainability for the bank.
Majorie has a strong interest in social impact projects, sustainability, health and wellness programs, team-building activities, and projects that support women and young people in entrepreneurship, fitness, job development, and self-discovery.
She holds a BSc in Banking and Finance from the University of Ghana Business School and an MSc in Project Management from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland. Additionally, she holds a Project Management Certificate (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in the United States. She has also received certification from the Digital Frontiers Institute in South Africa as a Gender Equality Change Maker, is a graduate of the Female Future Program 2023 run by the Ghana Employers Association with support from the Norwegian government, and is a Climate Reality Leader from the Climate Reality Project in the United States.

Miriam Arthur is a sustainability researcher who collaborates to develop actionable strategies for promoting sustainable practices. Despite her background in accounting, her focus is not on traditional financial issues. Instead, she is passionate about how accounting can address societal inequalities caused by capitalism and contribute to tackling climate change. Her doctoral research centers on the urgent need to address environmental issues, shaping her interest in the intersection between accountability and sustainability.
