Board of Directors

The institute shall be governed by a board of directors consisting of no fewer than five and no more than nine members. Board members shall serve staggered three-year terms

Board of Directors:

The institute shall be governed by a board of directors consisting of no fewer than five and no more than nine members. Board members shall serve staggered three-year terms.

Officers:

The board of directors shall elect officers from among its members, including a President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Officers shall serve XXX-year terms and may be reelected for up to three consecutive terms.

b) Vice President
c) Secretary
d) Treasurer
e) Public Relations Officer
f) Programmes Officer
g) Membership Officer

The Executive Committee shall be elected by the members of XXX in accordance with the provisions of this constitution.

  • The term of office of the Executive Committee shall be XXX years.
  • No member of the Executive Committee shall serve more than two consecutive terms in the same position.
  • The Executive Committee shall have the power to appoint subcommittees as deemed necessary for the effective management of the Institute.

Election of Executive Committee:

  • The Executive Committee shall be elected by the members of GISP in a general meeting.
  • The general meeting for the election of the Executive Committee shall be held at least one month before the end of the term of office of the current Executive Committee.
  • The Secretary shall give at least 21 days’ notice of the general meeting to all members.
  • The Executive Committee shall be elected by a simple majority vote of members present at the general meeting.
  • In the event of a tie, the President shall have the casting vote.

Committees:

The board of directors may establish committees to assist with the institute’s activities and operations, including but not limited to Ethics, membership, events and communications.
