Eligibility

Membership in the institute shall be open to individuals who work in the field of sustainability, including but not limited to sustainability officers, consultants, researchers, and educators.


Applications for membership
  • It shall be submitted to the Secretary of the institute in writing or electronically. The Executive Committee shall review all applications and approve or deny membership in accordance with the provisions of this constitution.
  • Members shall be entitled to participate in all activities of the institute, including voting in elections, standing for election, and receiving all relevant publications.

Membership Categories

There are three main categories of membership at ISPG

1. Corporate Membership

  • Eligibility: Corporations, SMEs, academic institutions, charities, social enterprises.

  • Benefits:

    • Free, unlimited access to ISPG programs for individuals in the organization.

    • Participation in the Mentoring Programme.

    • Feature in ISPG publications, events, and case studies.

  • Membership Fee: GHS 5000.00 per year (renewable annually).

2. Fellow Membership

  • Eligibility:

    • Minimum six years in a senior-level sustainability role.

    • Proven accomplishments and contributions in the sustainability field.

  • Benefits:

    • Speak at ISPG events (seminars, conferences, workshops).

    • Mentor upcoming professionals.

    • Contribute to ISPG newsletters and journals.

  • Membership Fee: GHS 1000.00 per year.

3. Individual Membership

Join a community of sustainability professionals at all career stages, within and outside Ghana.

Subcategories:

  • Senior Membership

    • Eligibility: At least 4 years of experience or relevant coursework in sustainability.

    • Fee: GHS 500.00 per year.

  • Associate Membership

    • Eligibility: Open to anyone; no prerequisites.

    • Fee: GHS 300.00 per year.

  • Student Membership

    • Eligibility: Students with proof of studentship.

    • Fee: FREE (no membership fee).

  • Access the Sustainability Mentorship Program.

  • Pathway to Fellowship status.

Terms and Conditions for Membership

  • Members’ names, benefits, and obligations will be listed on ISPG’s website.

  • Inductions are held twice yearly; members can apply anytime but will be formally inducted later.

  • Membership can be temporarily revoked if:

    • A member no longer meets criteria.

    • A member fails to participate in mandatory professional development.

  • Permanent revocation occurs if annual fees are unpaid.

  • Members can withdraw by submitting a written cancellation notice to the President.
